Introducing the Honor Family

With the increasing competitiveness in the smartphone market nowadays, manufacturers and producers need to start building their own eco-system in order to stand firm. Recently in Beijing, Huawei announced its first ever octa-core 4G Cat6 Honor 6, also revealed Honor 6 health bracelet, music headphones, routing set and storage boxes. In other words, the Honor family was finally unveiled.

It is learnt that Honor is Huawei’s new brand released this 16 December, the launch of Honor 6 mobile phone comes with independent technology Hisilicon Kirin 920 chip, super eight-core SoC (system-on-chip), is the world’s first smartphone that supports LTE Cat 6 (the latest 4G technology), maximum download speed of up to 300Mbps, 14 times faster than 3G (21M). Honor 6 has its retail price at RMB1,999 and is available at Huawei Mall, customers can purchase through Jingdong (29.26,1.16, 4.13%).

Besides mobile phones, Huawei also introduced various product range, the Honor product series has the most public attraction of its first smart home products, its TV box, home storage, camera companion, smart routing and others, selling price at RMB1999. Honor 6 health bracelet which supports call feature priced at RMB888 only.

Honor Business Unit President Liu Jiangfeng commented, the second half of the year, Honor brand on its product strategy will be based on its own technical know-how advantage in the area of 4G to enhance its competitive edge. In channel business aspect, Honor will rely on its mobile supplier in the development to achieve both online and offline efficiency, providing consumers with full range of brands and products experience. Besides, Huawei will also increase its marketing efforts on Honor series, including aggressive branding road shows, comprising the Honor Caravan National Tour 2014, Honor Super Marathon 2014, Honor Geeks Open Class, Honor original sound assembly and other branding series related activities. The latter gradually builds Honor branding eco-system.
